Takes 40 mins.

Suitable for dairy free and vegetarian diets.*

Makes 6 pieces.

Ingredients
Yeast starter
20 g fresh yeast half a cube
0.5 cups water warm
3 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp sugar
Dough
1 eggs beaten
1 tsp salt
1.5 cups flour
Instructions

Mix the yeast starter ingredients (warm water, yeast, oil, and sugar), and leave to stand in a warm spot for 5 mins until it begins to rise. Whisk the egg in a small bowl. Add 3/4 of the egg into a large bowl. Add salt and flour, and mix until it forms a dough. Preheat the oven to 220°C. Turn onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 mins, sprinkling flour as is needed to prevent it becoming sticky. Return the dough immediately to the bowl, pour a little oil over it, and rub the oil over the surface of the dough. Separate the dough into 6 even balls, and place evenly-spaced apart on a baking tray. Baste the top of ball with the remaining whisked egg, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Place in the center of the oven for 10 mins, or until they are golden brown. Remove from the oven and turn onto a wire rack for cooling. Serve warm.
